I am trying to rip my CD collection for a new mp3 Player. KAudioCreator seems great, but it encodes great, rips very slow. Any Ideas?

Just an update:
I was able to get my primary CD drive to work after a reboot windows style. This drive (pioneer 109) rips 4x as fast as the secondary (hp lightscribe) even though the read speeds are 52x and 48x respectivly. That said, the rip process is still pretty darn slow.
Any thoughts?
