I have edgy up and running. I now read that /home is best put on its own partition.
Q1) Can I just use QTparted or Gparted and just play with the size of the partitions - WITHOUT losing any data? (Yes I have backed up!!).
Q2) Do they just appear in Konqueror like C; and D; would in Windows or do you have to do something special to get to files in the Kubuntu partition (like changing sources.list)
Q4) One article said 'remember you can only add space at the end of the partition not at the beginning'.
Oh.
What does that mean/matter?
Q5) And to save me learning, just advise me - what is a good amount of space to leave for the Kubuntu partition that'll see my through the next year or two? It does seem that new programs scatter themselves fairly liberally!
