With the permission of Open Source, our intrepid forum owner, I've enrolled KFN in The Day We Fight Back -- a day of protest against mass surveillance on the Internet.
On Tuesday 2014-02-11 at 00:01 EST (05:01 UCT) a new article will appear on KFN. Embedded in the article is a widget from the organizers of The Day We Fight Back. Users in the USA will see boxes in which to enter either your phone number or your email address, and begin either making a call or writing an email to your legislators to express your concerns about mass surveillance. Users not in the USA will be able to sign a petition in support of principles against mass surveillance.
KFN is proud to join thousands of other web sites across the globe to protest the relentless abuse of power to erode the privacy of individuals. If you agree that mass surveillance is a dangerous step for society and does not actually improve anyone's safety, then we encourage you to make your voice heard tomorrow.
