Installer crash with a [u]separate /home partition
!!
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

when installing Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on a system with another operating system present, GRUB2 will not show the other operating system once installed for the dual/multi-boot system. It doesn't matter whether the other operating system is Microsoft Windows or another Linux installation, but the GRUB2 boot-loader doesn't offer you the option to boot that OS, just Ubuntu
That was the problem I had with Grub 2 when I installed 9.10! So, they fixed it for Lucid Beta (it worked perfectly on my rig), and now they've broken it again? Geeeeeeeeeeez!
Installer crash with a [u]separate /home partition

I'm with Snowhog on this one. !!!
EDIT: Looks as though Kubuntu is a go regardless. The main site has been partially updated to reflect as such and the link Rog supplied to the actual Download page has updated ISO images reflecting Final Release of LTS. Downloading now! As I said... I CAN'T WAIT!!
How could something so 'basic' slip past the testers!? Sad.
Sad, probably because they could use a few more volunteer testers.

Booting and installing - no problems. The Alternate installation media is detecting the other installations (MS Windows, Karmic, ...) without problems.
After the installation there is a new clean Kubuntu 10.04 installation waiting to be tuned...
Hmm - the Karmic installation is telling that there is an upgrade available.
Burned my LiveCDs and labeled. Yea! Doing a fresh install on the laptop soon. Debating on doing away with my current /home partition and migrating it over to EXT4. Hmmmm. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
I am running it two of my laptops (the third is too old to care). But the AMD desktop crashes on logout. Good thing I upgraded a test partition (a clone of the "production" one), so I'll wait until this is fixed.
At today's tech board meeting they approved https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/UpdatesPolicy - This gives as a chance to
move point releases out of kubuntu-ppa and into the archive once things are
tested.
Now that we've got permission from the Ubuntu TechBoard to ship new KDE
versions in existing releases I've uploaded KDE SC 4.4.5 (and kdepim/kdepim-
runtime 4.4.8 ) to lucid-proposed...
(and it seems (?) to be in the Lucid updates now)
If we can get this tested and moved to lucid-updates it will be the KDE SC we
ship in 10.04.2 (and if this goes well, we'll do Maverick and 4.5.4/PIM 4.4.8
next)...
