Re: Nvidia driver ver. 180.11 (Beta) announced
S2RAM is acting a little flaky on my 8.10 system too. I'm not sure what the deal is -- sometimes it is "grayed out" and you can't select it. Other times it works just fine. But I should have made a bigger swap space -- that's important too, and I wasn't thinking about S2RAM when I made it 1.5G for a system with 4G of memory.
I kinda doubt a suspend issue is caused by a video driver, but ... let us know if it is.

Re: Nvidia driver ver. 180.11 (Beta) announced
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is caused by the video driver...not only did it get introduced when I installed 180.06, but I found a post on the nvidia forums about it...I keep telling myself I'm gonna roll back to 177.80, but haven't gotten around to it...also, possibly related, I can only recover from a suspend 1 time per session on 177.80...
I will definitely let you know if the new version helps!

Re: Nvidia driver ver. 180.11 (Beta) announced
Tried 180.11, and it didn't fix my suspend issues, so I finally went back to 177.80, and my suspend is now working...I hope that nVidia gets this fixed before the final release, since EVERYTHING else works so much better in the 180 series!Dell Inspiron 1720 Laptop
Intel T9300 Core2Duo Processor @ 2.5Ghz
4 GB Ram | 1920 X 1200 Resolution
2 X 160 GB SATA HD Internal
Nvidia GeForce 8600M Graphics Adapter
Using Kubuntu 9.10
