Do you notice any problems trying to use Wine after the install (i.e. does it try and share your existing windows "installation"?)

No, i've just had a look, and it all seems to dwell in .cxoffice in the usual place (/home).

It stores the installed programs in 'bottles', one bottle for each installed program, and inside each bottle are desktopdata, drive_c, dosdevices, and windata directories along with some config files, whereas Wine creates one drive C: exactly as though it were a real partition, and then 'installs' the programs there.

I tried to install Kyodai (probably the best Mahjonng game available ), but when i tried to run it, the program exited because of an access violation, which Wine used to do, but now doesn't.
I then fired Kyodai up with Wine, and there was no difference.... it ran perfectly, i am very pleased to say.

        Thanks for that info.
