    flashplugin r115 update breaks Konqueror

    All,

Before everyone else gets hosed. I thought I should let you know: the latest flash upgrade (r115) my repositories suggested (YMMV) hosed my Konqueror (and Opera).

    See here
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...er/+bug/174343

There are also a bunch of posts in ubuntuforums. In particular, there is a fix (in case you already upgraded). You can download a big zip file with old version of the installer, and manually instal the previous version. See the post close to the end of the page fere:

    Cheers !

Additionally, at Launchpad, someone suggested uninstalling gnash as a fix for the problem with flash. If that works, it's certainly the quickest fix.

For all who are desiring to have flashplayer work in Gutsy's Konqueror, refer to Rog131's Re: Flash for Konqueror post. He has provided the link to get flashplayer version 9.0 r48 which works very nicely with Konqueror.
