Problem with wallpapers, need to inform Kubuntu developers!

As the title says i have noticed an issue with the wallpapers in kubuntu, this has persisted since jellyfish to my knowledge and possibly before.
If you try to set your wallpaper as picture of the day from the national geographic server either the server has been shut down or your Api target is incorrect (or similar problem) it has been showing the same picture for at least two years to my knowledge of Mel Gibson in a yellow taxi pointing (assuming it's a paparazzi shot). Just wanted to bring this to the developers' attention, no biggie as wallpapers are one of the less important features of an os, but thank you to whoever looks into the issue.

Hi, and welcome to Kubuntu Forums. This is a User forum, not a developer forum. Occasionally, a developer might visit, but this is not the place to report bugs.

This is for bug reporting: https://bugs.kde.org

A quick search there reveals: https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?qui...ist_id=3092143

However, I'm not sure what you're reporting is a KDE bug. The fact that something isn't working the way you want doesn't automatically elevate it to bug status.

You didn't state which version of Kubuntu you're currently using, but I was able to observe your issue on 24.04 using Plasma version 5.27.12. Alternately, on my KDEneon install using Plasma version 6.3.3 the "National Geographic" option is not available. Based on that it seems likely the NatGeo server isn't working so the developers may have just removed it from the list in the latest versions of Plasma.

Regardless, I encourage you to add yourself to the CC list on whatever currently active bug report seems appropriate.

Hope to see you elsewhere around the forum...
