    Get started with YouTube videos

There is a post on this somewhere, but I can't find it.

How to take decent videos to upload on YouTube?

Everyone says the same thing: Just use your basic Samsung cell phone camera.
People report doing such without knowing squat about videos or anything, and their videos look really good.

Any experience? easy-to-use editors (free as in beer)?
    My Samsung phone is basic: A14 5G (~$200 +/-).

I'd like to get up and running reasonably fast (within a month).

Well, here's a guide from Verizon for your phone.

I guess I should experiment with taking videos, rather than still photos.
And YouTube provides a "Studio" for creators (of videos) that provides some rules and facilities.
But I'm guessing there must be a video editor that people in Linux use.
But your post suggests that I should Google some of this!!
Didn't even think of it, I was so focused on finding something claydoh said about it some time ago.
      Thanks.

The best Linux video editor is in the repos, it's called Kdenlive...

I'd add OpenShot as a video editing suggestion. A little simpler to use, with fewer effects etc but still a very good amount of features. It is my favorite.
Kdenlive is imo a little harder to use for people brand new to editing, BUT there is a very good amount of content on how to do things with it.

Basically, I keep both around because one release of Kdenlive can be buggy or crash happy, or similar with OpenShot, which is my usual go-to. 3.1x seems to be the bad Openshot at the moment - the recently released 3.2 seems better, though I have not used it for much, so haven't been able to test it out.
Kdenlive seems to be in a more stable state, more often lately. it used to be every other release would be buggy.

Ahh, yes... OpenShot also has an official PPA!
