With my vote I mean the open-source version Memtest86+, of course.
…and once in every one or two years I discover that a memory module I bought second hand or that was installed in an older computer that I salvage is defective.Debian KDE & LXQt • Kubuntu & Lubuntu • openSUSE KDE • Windows • macOS X

get rid of Snap script (20.04 +) • reinstall Snap for release-upgrade script (20.04 +)

The source of this poll was working with a new Kubuntu VM and seeing memtest86+ in the /boot folder. Made me wonder why we're still installing this by default.
While I can see a reason to have it available to boot to from the LivsUSB, I see no reason to install it by default. If a user wanted/needed it they could install it themselves after initial install.
