Animated gifs can be very large. One painful way is to manually reduce the number of frames. rog131 has uploaded some beautiful ones. Here's one: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...12-KRename-KF5
If you use the method described in https://askubuntu.com/a/648604, you can reduce the number of images present in the "frames" folder. That will lead to smaller gifs but these will obviously not be "smooth".Last edited by chimak111; Mar 24, 2018, 03:51 AM.Kubuntu 20.04

interestingly enough I just noted that the original video is WAY smaller than the .gif I made from it , .mp4 video=445.8KIB , .gif=20MB , WOW
