is there a commad similar to lsusb that works on network devices such as a router . im trying to find a printer plug into a router.cups is not working.
I have been working on this for 2 months, I'm not going to waste a whole page telling you what all I've tried. Just Google it every way you can think of for two months and try every different way you find, at least twice. I'm beginning to think that the problem comes down to the fact that it's a $30.00 3-in-1 printer. Therefore when plugging it in to a usb port it does not "initiate" a conversation with the machine, it is completely passive, it will return a request for information, but will not start a request saying "this is what I am, and what I do, you know where I am. I don't know if the machines actually send those kind of request, or that kind of information, in a exchange of information. But it's the only other thing I can think of that could be wrong.
