Hello all,
I have a Windows7/Kubuntu dualboot setup and am very satisfied with the workings of it, but lately I need windows only software more and more and the constant rebooting is getting annoying. Normally GNU/Linux had all the software I needed but my work forces me to use windows only apps... On macs with parallels desktop you can use a bootcamp windows partition in a vm and have a hybrid setup of both dualbooting for the heavy stuff and using a VM for simpler stuff. What is the best way of achieving this? And what is the risk? I really cant afford losing the installation on that drive.
Also, before I start tinkering, what is the best way to image an entire drive so that if I do screw something up I don't have to redo a the reinstall of all software which would take days if not weeks.
I know there is a lot to find about this subject but cant find any conclusive answers and really dont want to hurt my system.
Thanks,
