Samba4 released

I never thought this day would come samba4 has finally been officially released.

The main advantage/addition to samba4 is support for the windows activity directories (One of the few things Microsoft actually did right) which is great news as you no longer need a windows server to implement an active directory based network.

Yep, AD rawks. For pushing standardized configurations down to zillions of PCs, applying policies, and measuring conformance, Group Policy plus NAP has no competition.

Anyone's actual experience setting Samba up as an AD environment is definitely welcome
