Like the title says, recommend a program, any program. Something that you have found useful, cool, interesting, or fun. Whatever you'd like. Ill try to recommend one every couple days to keep the thread going. Ill keep a list of recommendations in this post and try to update it often.
Today, I recommend Anki.
http://ankisrs.net/
Its a flashcard program. You can easily make your own flashcards, or, what Ive found really useful, is that you can download other people's flashcards. When going through a flashcard deck, you can tell the program how difficult the card was. Cards that were rated as being more difficult will be reviewed more often until it becomes easy to remember. Flashcards can contain text, pictures, sound clips, and even video. It intigrates really well with KDE too (although it doesnt like oxygen transparent).
Its in the repos. Enjoy!

Today, I recommend Anki.
http://ankisrs.net/
Anki is a program which makes remembering things easy. Because it is a lot more efficient than traditional study methods, you can either greatly decrease your time spent studying, or greatly increase the amount you learn.
Anyone who needs to remember things in their daily life can benefit from Anki. Since it is content-agnostic and supports images, audio, videos and scientific markup (via LaTeX), the possibilities are endless. For example:
learning a language
studying for medical and law exams
memorizing people's names and faces
brushing up on geography
mastering long poems
even practicing guitar chords!
