    I think Firefox handles it own state management in its profile (disk folder). If you don't override the profile Firefox is using, it will open a single default app instance of Firefox and then see what the profile says.

    One thing it doesn't know or care about, in my experience, is having multiple windows on different virtual desktops or activities. If you closed with multiple windows (and have preferences set to reopen closed tabs and windows), they will all open in the current virtual desktop & activity.
    I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

            That is, indeed, a VERY good analogy, now if I could just get it to work! lol

            But, it is INDEED a great analogy.

            This is the kind of information that should go into the proposed "first time use widget".
