I read (skimmed thru) this article on my phone, and though I don't agree with it, the author do raise some intressting points. Is there a better way then tabs? (I have a feeling I'm thinking inside the box here)

I use tabs alot, in Firefox I have about 40 open, if it's possible I use tabs in any application I can. I'd like to see Muon suite to have the different parts of it in tabs. Even though I love tabs, there must be a better way, though I fail to grasp it now. Now I saw this application/kicker on KDE-apps
KDE-looks - http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php...content=149936

I think that the programmer is on to something that may make tabs (within) applications go away. Would like to hear some more about it, maybe you understand the post on OMGubuntu better, or have a different opinion or angle.
I disagre with the article author that KDE have more layers, (i.e is less user friendly) in handling application instances and tabs. From my point of view, the Qt and KDE framework is to make the user in charge and change to his/her likings, thus this remove layers of interaction.
