    ut99 install problem

    Hi all,

I just recently switched from Ubuntu Dapper to Kubuntu Dapper. I've installed the original UT99 numerous times before on Ubuntu, but when I try the same thing in Kubuntu I get the following error when I try to install in the console:

    Code:
    sh unreal.tournament_436-multilanguage.goty.run
    Verifying archive integrity... All good.
    Uncompressing Unreal Tournament 436-multilanguage.goty Installer....................................................................................
/home/steve/.setup12551: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I've tried searching for that package, libgtk-1.2.so.0, through apt-cache search and I couldn't find anything with an exact match. I looked around in the Kubuntu forums as well as the Ubuntu forums and couldn't find anything that could help me. I've googled a bit too.

When I ran apt-cache search libgtk, a huge list of packages came up: libgtk2.0-0, libgtk2.0-common, libgtk2.0-bin, all of which are supposedly already installed.

I'm running Dapper on an x86_64 platform. As I said above, I've installed ut many times before but never on Kubuntu. I'm going to sleep on it and try to figure it out tomorrow, meanwhile, any help would be appreciated!

    Re: ut99 install problem

I'm on x86, but the package is caled libgtk1.2. You should have thig package available to you since Gimp requires it.
