[SOLVED] Internet gaming is really starting to suck...

I am getting this too often now....

To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 11.5 or greater is installed.

Any solutions other than a VM?

I haven't tested it, but Chrome's version of flash (pepper-flash) has shown up in the repos. You might be able to use chromium and pepper-flash.

Thank you very much 67GTA! Pepper Flash was easy enough to set up and worked like a charm.

        How to:
        Code:
        Open Terminal
        sudo add-apt-repository ppa:skunk/pepper-flash
        sudo apt-get update
        sudo apt-get install pepflashplugin-installer

Using a text editor with root privileges, open the file: /etc/chromium-browser/default
add the following line; [B]. /usr/lib/pepflashplugin-installer/pepflashplayer.sh[/B]

Save the file and restart the browser!

I can't watch Amazon Premium Movies because I don't have HAL on my system, even though I have the latest flashplayer. IF I install HAL I can play the videos, but I am not going to.

Wait, what? How do they attempt to detect HAL? The Flash binary isn't supposed to have that kind of system level access.

Same for 4oD (UK channel 4's "on demand" catchup service).

Chrome's pepper based flash doesn't work, but the old flash payer works fine in Chromium if you also install HAL from a PPA.

Why flash at all? Adverts. Eugh.
