2013 Is going to be a great year for gaming on Linux

With Valve producing Steam for Linux port and many other big gaming companies looking at Linux as a viable platform is 2013 going to be the start of mainstream gaming on Linux?

Sounds like it, I hear even Blizzard is talking of releasing a Linux native of World of Warcraft. I think the Mayan's were predicting the Rise of Linux not the end of the world. Damn then Mayans were smart :P

As more and more companies dare to speak out that Win 8 is a huge pain in the arse, we're getting ever more of them looking at Linux as a viable platform.
So far we have Blizzard, Valve, Egosoft, THQ and Overhaul Games, and many more still are already considering Linux.

Valve even has plans for a gaming console based on Linux:

      Kubuntu Raring Ringtail x64 w/ Kde 4.10.5

Multimedia packages for Kubuntu x64 (x264 10bit, mplayer2, Aegisub etc.)

And from the looks of it (and I hope they will make it this way) are treating Linux as a first rate citizen with the console just being a pre-packaged layer on top of it rather then the whole console being a separate entity.

I hope Blizzard brings world of warcraft to linux. I play the game and that,s one reason i have windows still. Plus windows is start to get dumb. I don't care for windows 8. You need a start button. Not everyone has a touch screen monitor. I think microsoft will lose a lot of people to linux after company's start bringing there games to linux.
