Transport Tycoon Deluxe

Purely by accident I discovered Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe (openttd) in the repositories.

I fondly remember how we played this back in the 386 days. So I installed it with kpackagekit
and it works 100% on my Acer TravelMate 5742G with Kubuntu 11.04 64bit.

Gonna have some retro fun with it now

I can't play OpenTTD online, because my OpenTTD version is too old. Servers are running version 1.1.4, but my version (which was installed through Muon) is 1.0.4. According to the official website, version 1.1.4 was released 04.12.2011. For how long do one usually have to wait before such updates are available in the repositories?

By the way: I tried to download the newest deb-package-release for Ubuntu Oneiric (x64) manually, and install via Qapt (which was suggested by firefox). Qapt approves the package, but seems to skip the installation process without doing anything. Tried again with Muon package manager, it will not approve the package. Tried again with x86 32-bit package instead, but it was rejected by both programs. Any help here, please?

Update: Found the problem. When uninstalling OpenTTD from the Muon-installer, some OpenTTD-packages was not automatically uninstalled. I discovered this while searching for OpenTTD in the Muon package manager instead. Removed all previously installed OpenTTD-packages in the Muon package manager, and tried again to manually download and install the newest realease through Qapt. This time it works successfully. Maybe this could be of some use to anyone else trying to play online. Regards!
