Half-life 2 and Quake 4

I included these two titles as part of my Kubuntu How-To.

I just finished the new Sin release since its based on the Source engine from HL2. It was pretty good.

I played the Prey Demo this morning and it look like an interesting title.

What I really need is to know how to get the Linux installers to work on Kubuntu?

I can get the installers to run, BUT can't get Kubuntu to allow me to finish copying the needed files from my Windoze disc, to allow the Programs to run.

I know the installers work because I've used them in SimplyMepis 6.0.
And copied the files from my Disc, entered the CD codes, and were off and Fraggin..

I've done this with Quake4 Quake3 as well as DOOM3.

Cedega is in my Opinion a useful piece of Programing to those who don't have Linux installers avaiable to them in Other Games.

But why pay for something to run games that have Linux Installers for them
