Hi I have Never Winter Nights with the Linux patch downloaded from there web site to run this Windows version games on Linux and it runs rather well. It is based on D&D and sticks fairly true to it. Its kind of funny as I dual boot (Linux=99% win=99$) and I can run it either on Linux or windows and all from the same CD. I would not rate it as the best game but its a pretty good RPG with free user based online worlds with up to 64 players on a server. There are thousands of free servers available. If you see a used version around you might want to grap it as it is getting aged. Req 400mhz, 16meg vid

My first try with neverwinter nights didn't work at all. I had installed kubuntu and wanted to check if I would be able to get my game to work in it.
For some other reason I needed to make a fresh install of kubuntu, and afterwards nwn just worked like a charm!
The only differences between the two installs, was that at first nwn was installed on a seperate drive. The second time I installed it in my homedir.
Nwn is a great game, I suspect I'll be using some hours/days/weeks on...

There are a few companies out there that are very Linux friendly, Bioware and Blizzard are two of them, which makes me incredibly happy as they have some quality products...now if only I could get Baldurs Gate one and two to run properly!
And Diablo III when it arrives, and NWN2 when I have the spec for it, and...
Recently had my copy of NWN stolen >
so will have to look at getting another one, but the level of support for their products, and their "not being locked into windows" mindset means some of my hard earned will defenitely be heading their way, without rancour.

What game worlds do you like i need to see if i ever registered my copy because i got NWN2 on my desktop and I think i want to go back to NwN being how the comunity is so much larger. Do you think they could send me a pre linux complied copy if i did cause i lost my disks and cd key while on my last deployment

You can get a new copy here: www.tuxgames.com it comes with linux installer. Other than that if you find it to expensive you can get the platnium edition cheap but you have to download the linux installer from bioware.com (huge files).Comment
