Personaly, I'm using kate (if no X I'm using vi )
But you can give a try to kdevelop I think it's managing php...

Kate's not bad, I prefer vi though. Actually, an program that you can see line numbers in is great for php. So when your script craps out on line 847, you're not counting by hand

Bluefish is a combined PHP/HTML/CSS/whatever editor, it's quite good.

Yeah I like bluefish, also check out Quanta Plus (it's what I use).
