If you have copied text output that contains formatting (colors, highlighting, etc.), please do not enclose it in QUOTE or CODE tags. Just right-click your mouse and choose "Paste Without Formatting" or similar (Paste as plain text).
I suggest you consider getting an SSD, perhaps a smallish one just for the OS. I get about 2 s from grub to login prompt, and 3 s from login screen to desktop on a bad day. (It's 8 s for the POST, power on to grub, too much, so now I suspend.)
Before I got a new WD Black Drive (750GB, 7000 RPM) I seriously thought about the Samsung EVO or PRO 250GB (which I could afford). I used to run Linux 24/7/365 and had 0 seconds boot time! My longest uptime was 465 days before a new kernel forced me to reboot. I had a SuSE 6.3 server (for PostgreSQL) in my office that was up nearly two years.
