global keyboard shortcuts for alsa

this seems to be a general KDE question
I use clementine, which has no problem letting me set the media keys on this keyboard to control the sound
youtube & other sources, present a challenge, so far

use kmix to set the short-cuts and they will control system sound (ie all applications)

I can also have clementine & you tube playing at the same time?

Are you trying to use the shortcuts like Play/Pause or Next on the keyboard? Or are you talking about the Volume Up & Down shortcuts?

sure I have all those shortcuts for clementine, dedicated media keys where possible, it's a pain to have scramble open a volume control

I don't understand what scramble is? Maybe this post can help?
