Okay, so my Macbook Pro running Kubuntu Jaunty is reporting 2791.975 fps. Hmm. I see two possibilities:
1. The graphics card in this thing is amazing (possible - after all, I* paid enough for it)
2. The number is being boosted by some sort of setup incompatibility. When I run glxgears it says:
"Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be
approximately 1/2756578 the monitor refresh rate.
13960 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2791.975 FPS"
Is this warning message suggesting that the frame count is being messed up, and my graphics aren't quite as amazing as I think they are?
* Well, my employer did ;o)
