    Color Code Needed

    I want to be able to transition smoothly from the Kubuntu login screen -> splash screen (lucid simple) -> desktop. I cannot find the correct color code for the blue background. Can someone tell me, please? It appears that 6699FF is the code for the Kubuntu logo, but not the screen.

    TIA

    Re: Color Code Needed

    Install the kcolorchooser program.

    Edit: further, you can find the background image for the login screen in:

    /etc/kde4/kdm/backgroundrc

    it is listed in the "Wallpaper" entry.

    To find the image in your splash screen, look in:

    /usr/share/kde4/apps/ksplash/Themes

    if you are using a stock theme. If you are using a theme you have downloaded or made, then look in:

    ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes

    Display the image with gwenview or whatever viewer you use, and use kcolorchooser (or the viewer's built in color sampler, if it has one).

    You can locate the desktop wallpaper in use in the file ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc and look for the section that says

    [Containments][###][Wallpaper][image]
    slideTimer=10
    slidepaths=/usr/share/wallpapers/
    userswallpapers=
    wallpaper=/usr/share/wallpapers/name of your wallapper.jpg
    wallpapercolor=0,0,0
    wallpaperposition=0
