Yeah, I ran across Nuno Pinheiro's wallpaper from the repos and thought it would be great. Don't normally use such as a background but thought the colors and design were ideal for Natty. Might try to lighten the background a little so that it isn't too dark, unless I get feedback otherwise.

surprise surprise ....................my son just brought me an old emachine W3118 .....from the trash ........and it has a HP lightscribe DVD drive in it

I got 512-RAM in it and a new K-10.04 install + the lightscribe .deb's as told hear https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LightScribe and it looks like it may work.............as soon as I get some disks for it I will post a photo of the results.

Sure have. I had my eye on a light scribe a while back but the money just isn't there.

Since it isn't constructed of normal text I can't change the color easily. I'll play around with that and post a sample.

Did do a type of "aura" around all text. Did make it more noticeable and readable.

Kubuntu is based on Ubuntu, and should be at least similar to Ubuntu's logos, which are three stripes in circle. This logo is more like three elk's horns placed round the whole in a disk...
If I see Ubuntu and this logo on a same screen, I would not say they are related.

Look closer. It is derived from the Kubuntu Logo which in turn is based on Ubuntu's. Could mine have been thinner like Kubuntu's? Yes, maybe, but this is my interpretation.

Kubuntu logo (the one I see at kubuntu.org) derived from Ubuntu's, yours derived from Kubuntu's. But now derivation has gone too far from my perspective.
I am not offensive in any way, don't misunderstand me. That was just my 2p which you can throw away...
