Two awesome 3D Ubuntu wallpapers

just came across these 2 totally awesome wallpaper..
wanted to share these

IMO the shift from orange to purple had made ubuntu wallpaper more appealing and fresh.

will it be possible to change the purple to blue (the one like karmic default wallpaper colour. it was pretty fresh) and make a similar kubuntu wallpaper.

Admittedly not as nice, but admittedly I am not as talented as whom ever made those Ubuntu ones :P

I'll try a version of the other one another time.

Had a few free hours today so here is my attempt at the other wallpaper.

bTw..which software u used to make this wallpaper?

I used Blender 2.54 and Gimp 2.6 mostly.
