i made a new wall paper as well as a very kewl spalsh on kde where this slowly fades in

Nice. One of your better, if I may say so, wallpapers. But, I think it would look even better, if you shunk the KDE logo to an appropriate size and placed it to the left of the kubuntu logo, and gave it the mirrored effect as well.
But as said, this is a nice wallpaper.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
