what is your fav eco theme?

    what is your fav eco theme?

    hi all..
    i was going through some of the posts.. got to know that blue and red are most straining colours to look at.
    was wondering if you have come across any soothing theme.. similar to suse.. but without that reptile
    or have any one of you created a green theme?

    i would love to try those themes..
    especially if it has some green grass and more of translucent behaviour of window panel and all..
    (attaching the my current wallpaper)

    Have a look at the stuff at www.kde-look.org

    I use the openSUSE.org color scheme. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close.
    Also look at the aurorae theme engine, and the various themes that go along with it. Seems to give pretty nice semi-translucent borders.
    Under systemsettings > appearance > Style > Workspace, I use the 'elegance' style, which also gives a semi-translucent panel.

    There's a of of stuff at kde-look.org, plan on spending some time going through it.

      where did you get openSUSE.org color theme from?

      In sys..>.>Style 'elegance' is not present in drop down box..
      will try to find it in kdelook site..

        I thought I got all of that from kdelook, but now I'm not finding that particular scheme. I may have copied it from my openSUSE system, but as I recall I had the color scheme first. google might find it.
        There are similar color schemes on kdelook, and you can always customize.

          openSUSE.org KDE4 Color Scheme 1.1
          Windows no longer obstructs my view.

              i downloaded the "Green mint" theme from kde-look.. just to give it a try.
              it was a tar.gz file.
              upon extracting it has 3 .jpg, a .kcsrc and a .qtcurve files..
              what do i have to do now to install this theme?

              but it returns..

              what am i doing wrong?

                First, it won't require 'configuration' as you are attempting, if it's a properly packaged color theme. That said however, I can't check it out, as the file at the link appears to be non-functional as of this morning.

                  Im assuming you are on the current kde4.

                  Goto SystemSettings > Appearance > Windows > Window Decoration > Install New Theme

                  and select the file.

                  Edit: I take that back, that seems to work only for auorae themes.
