Great minds must think alike!
When I am done for the day I shut off my audio speakers, my mouse and then I shutdown Kubuntu. Then I flip the switch on the power strip to shut power off to the lamp and the printer. Then I pull the power cord out of the wall.
A couple of years ago this box got hit my an electrical surge from a lightening bolt and it took out my eth0. Ergo, I usually plug things back in and turn them on around 10 to noon, and shut them down between 10pm and midnight."A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”

This has devolved from the original issue, and as there really isn't something wrong with KFN itself, other than the possible slight time delay due to ZBBlock protecting KFN, I'm closing this thread.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
