I use Falkon browser. I have been blocked from entry into kubuntu forums for quite some time [at least a year] by its spybot function.
I know there is a rigmarole that is supposed to clear this up, but my nature does not incline me to jump thorough those hoops.
However, I have recently discovered that if I enter Private Browsing mode in Falkon I am able to join the forums with no problem.
Are the devs aware of this behaviour, feature, bug. Is it intentional?
I do find the requirements on the 'WARNING' page intimidating and unfriendly, by the way.
I have used Kubuntu for a great number of years but feel that a newcomer confronted with this would feel rejected and unwelcome.
They could quite possibly simply walk away.
I do understand how spam and bots can create havoc but by, in effect, making a 'WARNING' page necessary as introduction, they have, in one sense, won.
As I mentioned, I can gain entry to the forums so, for me, all is well, but there must be others who walk away in frustration.
I rant here only because of my concern for Kubuntu and for these forums.
To whoever it might concern, I wish you all the best.
*after writing this post I have noticed there is a 'Kubuntu Forums Feedback' section I guess I should have posted there, I offer my apologies*
