    User levels

I wish to lodge a formal protest ;·) on user level names.
Having just written 1000 posts, I now have "Kubuntu as Second Language" in my forum user profile.
    Pros: None :·)
Cons: It gives the wrong message.

For one thing, I'm trilingual, so it would be my fourth. ;·)
For another... I really love Kubuntu (and KFN) but my knowledge of it is quite... dismal really :·0
So people (especially new ones) read my "cilly" posts and think, man, he's got "Kubuntu as Second Language " he must know what he's talking about...

May I suggest that after 1000 posts users would be allowed to set their own level name? (subject to moderation, it doesn't happen every day).
Or that the Second Language thing be amended globally?

Alternatives (for me) could be that I stop spouting nonsense - unlikely, knowing me... :·) or that I make a new user...

    Respectfully,
    Ibiza, May 5th, 2020,
    Donald Brian Cilly.

Maybe you could have stopped at 999 THEN made a new user

Serious Member? Nah, that would apply to me even less... ;·)
Old Hand? Prized Contributor? Almost Family? Ally? Apprentice Wizard?

Oh, all right, I'll come up with something. Give me a moment to confer with my colleague think about it.

Actually, it would be a lot better, because it implies a "still learning" state...

But really, why not let the "old hands" choose their own pithy nothingness.
All in good fun... if it backfires, it can be reversed.

Here all this time I thought "Don B Cilly" was code for "Don't Be Silly".

I am sort of annoyed a tiny bit . We all used to have to get to certain post counts before getting certain perks.

Sorry, seemed harmless enough. If it causes a ruckus I'll change it back.

Well, being "cilly" doesn't mean you can't always get what you want

C'mon claydoh, I didn't edit it myself, I was given it because... I speak whale better than Kubuntu... and that almost not at all.
