    [SOLVED] Unauthorized scripts on KFN?

While browsing KFN chrome shows a warning: "This page is trying to load scripts from unauthrized sources".

So far it's only this thread: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...-a-major-issue

Probably amounts to nothing, but just found it odd.

            Emphasis added by me.

It isn't unauthorized; it's unauthenticated. Big difference.

We run our site (KFN) on https. Any pages that contain mixed http / https content could generate that message, but it would be coming from your browser. I don't see that message going to the URL you linked. I'm accessing KFN from my iMac using Safari.

Thanks. Seems like chrome is getting pickier and pickier anymore.

I'm thinking the message is coming from an add-on you have loaded in Chrome.

                    He's using the same add-on?
I used chrome for a while to check it out but several days ago I deleted it because it is Google. While using it I never got any warnings while surfing this site. FF62 hasn't flagged anything. I tried several other browsers (Browse, Vivaldi, Tor, Konqueror, etc...) and they never posted any warnings of any kind on this forum.

I just installed Lynx and browsed this site, clumsy as Lynx is. No messages, but did get L8774-4828TMP.txt.gz as a file to open or download. I tried to open it with Ark but Ark said it wasn't a file type it recognized.

I'm not in any way suggesting the site is malicious. Far from it. If anything I might have suspected a user of embedding a malicious link in their signature or something along those lines before I suspected KFN.

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it, but it was odd and if there were some hijinks going on I thought you should know. In any case I'm not concerned.

No problem in having mentioned it. After all, you did see it.

Message is coming from images people have in their signature that come from non-secure, third party sites. On this page, vinny's image comes from a non-https photobucket url. So...this is all vinny's fault.

yes my sig pick is coming from an http photobucket link

no no extensions in my chrome pretty vanilla.

but yes I would tend to agree with @whatthefunk and it's just http links .
