Forced automatic breaks in CODE listings

I did not put in the break in the code listing and every time I delete it, it returns.

You have a font tag crossing the code tag, breaking the nesting.
font begins, code begins, font ends, ...

IIUC code tags always use a monospace font, so all those font tags are redundant.

I didn't put any font tags in there - none at all. The cut-n-paste I did came from my terminal so might have been from that, but they weren't visible to me.

However, I did go back just now and highlighted the entire post, hit the "Remove Format" button and re-attempted removing the errant CODE tag double entry. This time it stuck, so you must be right. I couldn't seem them, but they must have been in there somewhere.
