KubuntuForums taking too long to display

Over the past week or two, whenever I have wanted to display Kubuntu Forums through web browser (Firefox) it is taking a very long time to display the home page. The page does display eventually.

Have there been any "improvements" to the site with regards to security or anything which would cause this speed issue?

Ive been having the same issues. I thought it was because I was overseas, but Im in the states now and the issue persists.

Me, too; but it's occassional and unpredictable (as to when it happens). Firefox tab says": "Connecting" for a very long time.

I personally have not noticed any difference, using chrome primarily.

For me if I direct type url to front page https://www.kubuntuforums.net/ it takes 5-10-20 seconds so it is the longest of many sites I visit.
However this has always been the case here at the desktop pc that never moves anywhere, so I think it is just normal.

If I go directly to the Activities page Via bookmark it is near instantaneous. I guess that could be the browser too.

Ok, it sure does hang a long while going to the main url (I normally go to a New Posts page (https://www.kubuntuforums.net/search...earchid=516100) and it is quite quick.

It is just the top page, any subpage loads just dandy

Hi all, having the same problem here. It takes up to 5 minutes to log into forums and almost smae time again to get to the forums

Kubuntuforums (regardless of the page being loaded) is very quick for me. Usually less than a second.

When I get long load times or intermittent delays, on some sites, like youtube, I find that if I reboot my wireless router the speed returns.

I too, have experienced this, with FF, but not when logging in to the Admin Control Page. I'll check again this evening when I get home.

The first loads within a second or two. The second took about 5 seconds the first time but was instantaneous after the second time (buffer loaded).

Perhaps it is a DNS route dependency problem?

And yet there are no other web sites (web pages) that take as long to load as the home page for Kubuntu Forums.
