Reply to Steve Riley's Locking threads in Annoucements

I agree that forum threads should never be locked. I don't know how many times I have wanted to respond to threads that were marked solved then locked or old threads that haven't been posted to for a while so some body decided to lock them. I don't think it is in the spirit of open source to lock threads except for something that the admins or devs make that are just announcements. I just felt the need to respond to this one so I guessed were to make a new thread.
Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

We disabled the ability to lock threads recently.

(Well, except for Oshun, because he's special.)

        Great idea.

BTW: I used to be an admin on a Linux Distro called Ultima Linux. I was wondering if you get a lot of spam on Kubuntu forums. It seems like we had to deal with spam several times a month before we got a spam filter than got most of it.

Spam used to be a major problem for us. But Snowhog has become an excellent spam killer and has assembled a number of tools that keep KFN nearly spam-free.

By the looks of I would say that Snowhog knows what he is doing. Great job.
