    RSS - doesn't work

I added RSS from this forum to Thunderbird but it doesn't receive new posts.
I also clicked on RSS icon in Opera and it also didn't listed the last posts that are visible while clicking in forum "New posts" option.
    I used this address:
    http://www.kubuntuforums.net/external.php?type=RSS2

    Edit:
Strange. Forum's RSS works for me in Akregator but not in Thunderbird. But I prefer Thunderbird because it has trash function.

Any ideas why this is the case?

Sorry, can't help. I don't use either RSS or FireFox.

Who can deal with it then? Is there any web master here? With Ubuntu forum I have no trouble on Thunderbird. I can't stand using Akregator. It is so underdeveloped.

What do you need an RSS reader t odo that Akregator does not do? (Besides have a trash can)... Older entries are deleted out unless you save them or mark them as important. I would see this as an improvement over a trash can. Also, apperently it reads RSS feeds better (since you said it works on the RSS feeds from the forum here).

As another option, there is both Google Reader as well as a plethera of Firefox add-ons for RSS management.

As for Thunderbird, I'm sorry to say that I do not use it as I use KDE PIM (and therefore Akregator).

For example in Thunderbird I just hit delete button again and again and entries are deleted. In Akregator I can't do that. When I delete one entry I must click with mouse on next entry to delete it. That's very annoying. There is even impossible to move from one entry to another with up and down keyboard arrow. Such program should not be even considered to be a part of KDE PIM.

I would not. Maybe this can be set as a personal preference but it is not an advantage. Besides in Thunderbird user can set the same.

Or maybe not. Maybe it is just a matter of a format. I don't know. I wish someone with appropriate knowledge could explain it.

In Arkegator's Settings > Configure Shortcuts I was able to make Akregator work like you listed above in 30 seconds. It already deleted entries with the delete key. The difference was that by default Akregator used the Left / Right arrow keys to navigate up and down instead of the Up /Down arrows.

I'm sure there's a way to get the RSS feeds from here working in Thunderbird though. Good luck.

Thank you for the information. I should have check it myself. But still the issue remains because I would like to be able to use one program of my preference instead of two.
