How to view " all the threads " as in the old forum

How can I see all the older posts like we used to see them.
I can't see all the posts in a forum.
How can I view all the posts in a forum.
How view see all posts forum.

Here is how to do it:

    Go to:

Settings/General Settings/Thread Display Mode/ then: choose Linear Newest First.

There is also the option to choose from "Display" at the top right in what I perceive to be a blue bar, there are three options the first is linear mode.

If there is an easier way, someone else might post it.

Just a bit ago I changed various defaults. All forums (*) now sort the way the prior KFN did: threads (what were formerly "topics") are listed in reverse chronological order by latest update time, rather than alphabetically. Most forums (*) will display the most recent 30 days of threads, but each user can change this in their settings; all forums under "Important information" default to displaying all threads.

(*) I haven't yet modified forums under "Kubuntu previous releases" or the international ones. There's no script to automate this; have to do it one-at-a-time. I'll make these same changes there soon.

Yeah, I had to change the video code option under every single forum/subforum...took a while. I wish there was an "Apply to all" feature.

You might want to consider who gets permissions to write blogs and articles
You don't want a free for all.
The blogs and articles can be a source for good accurate info if managed properly.

awesome! I did register again, cuz either my username got botched during the move, or I forgot my password
The forum is very much nicer.

Very nice - still getting the hang of it though!

One point - I can't for the life of me find the option to re-enable my pseudonym/screen name. Can any of you kind folks point me in the right direction please?

Ah, got my identity back. Thanks to Open Source for the quick support response

I noticed that such "apply to all" features are sql queries supplied to those who have purchased support contracts. At the support site they block such queries with "Blocked. Available only to paid subscribers" messages, with another which states "Don't pm me asking for free support."

Just had to hunt through the millions of settings and find the right one.

Okay, here's my initial $0.02 worth:

. I liked the old color scheme much better. It was a happier blue.

. I love that one of my previous suggestions has now materialized, i.e., previewing a post by hovering over its title.

. Right now, the member name you see as you scan down a forum page is the person who last commented in a thread; I'd rather see EITHER the OP's name [as before], OR a column for both.

Finally, good job on the migration overall. I know it was a daunting task!

Yup, I know. Worrying about the theme seems like a minor issue, but it greatly affects how we can interact with and consume the information here. We'll work to improve it. It's actually of great interest to me to learn more about this particular aspect.

Speaking of themes, we now have the mobile theme installed; if you browse KFN from a mobile browser, a mobile-specific theme will appear. It's purely default at the moment, but I'll apply the same changes there, too.

The OP's name now appears beneath the thread title when you view the list of threads in a forum. I'm not sure whether this is something we can change with a theme or if it's hard-coded into vBulletin.

Much credit goes to OS for handling the bulk of locating a new hosting site and figuring out the best way to transition all our existing data.

I've had a look through the settings, and can't find any way to do that. I really have trouble wrapping my head around the US style middle-endian date format.
It looks like it's not enabled. On another vB4 board (androidquestions.org) I see that if you go to Settings > General Settings > and scroll down to "Date & Time Options", there are items "Date format:" and "Time format:" after the "Start of the week:" option.

Perhaps these just need to be enabled in the admincp?

eta: I would very much like this option as well!

Yeah...I noticed that about three minutes AFTER I'd posted. I think my initial assumption (without actually bothering to LOOK at it) was that the left-most info included the thread's title and then a subtitle. Then I looked and, oops!, there's the OP's name!
