    RSS Feeds!

There don't appear to be any good rss feeds for the forums. The only thing I could find is a feed started http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?action=printpage;topic=4119.0"]about five years ago[/url] that provides the five newest posts from the whole forum and it works but a) it needs to be more prominent on the current forums and b) it needs more options like syndicating particular forums and subforums etc...

    Re: RSS Feeds!

You can modify the url to fit your needs better, for example:
    Code:
    http://www.kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?action=.xml;type=rss2;sa=recent;boards=8,24;limit=20
Will feed the 20 (255 is the max) most recent posts in boards 8 (Site Improvements) and 24 (Kubuntu Announcements)

The board number list (in your link) is likely outdated, but you can get the correct numbers from the urls of the board, for example:
Help the new guy -board url is:
    Code:
    http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?board=7.0
    Board number=7

      Re: RSS Feeds!

      Hi Kubicle
That is great info, I have the RSSNOW feeder on the desktop and it works great.

However, the feed from board 7 is stuff that I read some time ago.

Would it be possible to get a "list" of the different "board's" numbers so folks could pick and choose?

Also, and this could get complicated, is is possible to get "unread posts" in an RSS feed, I think that is something that would interest folks and something I would regularly watch.

And, if the "unread posts" thing would be some kind of abstract thing that is able to be done that would be ok.

BTW the RSS NOW widget really does work well.

The best use of rss is for mobile, but kf was nice enough to provide tapatalk access, so if that is the op concern, check that out.
