"Advanced search" option

Would it be possible to have an advanced search option?
Maybe there is one, but I cannot seem to find it.

I always start out by running a search for whatever I am looking for. But when I get the list, it is very long and not terribly helpful.

It would be useful to have the filters such as:
* Search in "Subject" only
* Kutuntu version: .... (Lucid, Hardy, etc.) [drop-down list]
* Kategory [drop-drown list of categories (i.e. board names)]

and also options such as
* List results by date
* Search for exact string
* Search for any word in string

Something like that.

if you use the Search link at the top-right of the page you can get to the advanced search options, and from there you can specify options. You cannot search by major board(say, just the Lucid Lynx main board), but you can check/uncheck any of the sub-boards you want.

All the options you need are there.

I'd love to see enhanced search options similar to what Google and other search engines have - Boolean logical constructs. But that is likely a complex mod, and probably doesn't exist for SMF.

I stand corrected. I was blinded by the most visible search function, and simply had not seen the other.
