From the link: "We are sorry, but all Download Slots are busy. Please check back later.
Due to the high load on our Mirror Network, all our Mirrors are full. Kubuntu will be available again for download as soon as possible."
I think it's the equivalent of a site getting slashdotted.
I think I should awnser this.
We had alot of traffic on our Mirrors (20TerraByte) during the Week-End of the launch. As this was not planned we had to find ways to spare some traffic. So we set-up a light version of the Download page, and fired up an FTP account. The problem with this was, that it had alot of leechers, people with 50 connections under one IP, which blocked this solution for everyone else.
As the DVD is bigger than 2GB we can't have it on our standard HTTP-Download mirrors, as apache 2.0.* doesn't support files bigger than 2GB.
I have re-opened the FTP Service for now, with the DVD on it, and I hope that everyone who reads this post will agree, that it is only fair to download with one connection, not any Download Managers.
Just check on the site for the download link.
Any feedback about the Downloads is welcome by mail at: admin@flosoft.biz
