I could be having a brain fart and mixing things up with a completely different forum
but I could have sworn that on the old forum you could click a user to "thank" them which would be listed against their account. Also threads could be marked as "Solved" - hence could be filtered out.

I presume then we just mark threads solved by editing the subject?

Hi, blackpaw. Yes, you edit the subject.
Snowhog is in charge of that department (ensures compliance).
Everything's done by hand around here.
