Quick question about Laptop

Hi

New to the forums and to Linux. I would like to ask a quick question, not sure if I'm posting this in the right section of the forums, if not please forgive me and move appropriately.

I am about to purchase the Lenovo ideaPad 510-15 15.6" Core i7 Laptop (please click in link for specs) and would like to know if it is possible to install Kubuntu on this machine. It comes with Windows 10 a 1TB HDD, which will be replaced at a later date with a Kingston SSD 480GB.

Looks like a nice piece of HW. I had zero problems (took all the defaults) installing Kubuntu 16.04 on a comparatively ancient T410. Unfortunately it is newer than two of my sources:

Thanks for you info and my apologies for late reply, had to go to several stores to get this laptop as everyone I visited had no stock and did not know if they were getting more stock in.

It's a nice laptop but apparently it has two video cards, an Intel 520 and the nVidia GeForce 940MX, so I don't know how it's going to play with Kubuntu as the laptop uses both as it depends on what the user is doing it will switch between both.

Well that's what I read on the Lenovo website about this laptop, but I hope I can use either one when trying to install Kubuntu. I need to check in the Bios if I can turn off one and which one I can use.
