Kubunut 16.04 Sys Requirements

My plan is to install Kubuntu 16.04 (LTS) on my Toshiba satellite laptop. Unfortunately I'm less savvy with laptop hardware, and cannot seem to find the system requirements for Kubuntu. Though I have successfully run Kubunyu 14.xx (LTS) on this laptop. that's before the plasma integration really took place. I'm trying to avoid a laggy or choppy desktop (...and use the cube smoothly as well, but not the highest priority).


Also, for 16.04 LTS, how long is that currently planned to be supported ?

It really depends on your RAM . .2GB + you should be ok and for plasma 5 it helps to have a card with decent openGL 2+ support your card should be just fine.

im not sure about how slow your computer can be but i have run plasma 5 on my netbook dual core atom @ 1.6ghz w/ 1GB or ram and intel i915 gfx.. and it works just fine . its not super fast but it runs.
