While i was at Walmart yesterday lookin for a few things i needed. I helped an elderly gentleman who was so spurred on by the idea of vista,he had to have it because it was the newest thing out there. He has never bought a computer b4 in his life and i told him if all your gonna do is use the internet n stuff he didnt need a high-end machine or even Vista for an os. He could get away with xp. I didnt want to scare him with the prospect of linux but i pointed him in the right direction as per what he would need to get for what he wanted to do. Im happy that i did that.
I think personally Vista is just a bloated XP hacked to the core and another way for M$ to make money. I switched full time to linux about a week ago after dual booting for quite some time and im happy with my choice.
