    a SIMPLE somewhat mass mailer

Hi guys (gals are included in this),

I'm not one to get excited very quickly about something, and if I do I usually see the "cold light of day" within a short time - Kubuntu has managed to break both of these thought processes with ease. I am just so glad I gave a free Live CD on a mag a whirl - what a change in my thinking about Linux!

One thing though, and this is giving clout to the saying "there is just too much Windoze stuff out there"; Does anyone know of a SIMPLE (not shouting, just stressing the point) multi-mailer (as opposed to "mass mailer") for use with sending about 200 emails tops to friends and family (I'm using LiteMail 2.2 from Sprika and would like to use something with a similar "feel" but on Linux).

I'm not that keen on installing "server" style stuff so things like QUICKML are, to me, not ideal.

    and without offence intended:
To all, a very Blessed Christmas.

Re: a SIMPLE somewhat mass mailer

An update: Scouring the Internet for days has not revealed a simple GUI style machine based (as opposed to server based) newsletter program for Linux (open a text file containing addresses, the same for message, and whack the "send" button - you know, don't you? - the KISS principle).

LiteMail fails under Wine - so no luck there.

Did find AutoMailer though and works under Wine. The free version limits 75 emails per batch - not perfect, but satisfies my immediate requirement for keeping friends and family up-to-date with personal news.

OpenOffice, Kontact (featuring Kmail), Krita, amaroK, Kaffiene, Konqueror,... The list of brilliant software is endless. Anyone out there capable of writing KeepInTouch?
