Openofficeorg + asian input via scim/skim

Hi!

First of all: I’m using kubuntu desktop 6.06.1 for 32 bit Processors. I did a lot of search and found a lot about this issue. So under edgy

im-switch –z en_US –s scim

enables asian input in nearly every application (ff, kwriter, console etc.) but Openoffice.org.

So did adding

LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8
LC_TYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8
XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM"
GTK_IM_MODULE="scim"
QT_IM_MODULE="scim"

under dapper to my /etc/environment.

So asian input works well except in OOo. Is here someone who managed to get the input in Openoffice.org to work? Is it possible at all?
What else I have to do to get it to work? If I do just the im-switch in Ubuntu edgy, the input works in openoffice too, but just with edgy, not even with ubuntu dapper. I think that has something to do with the gtk thing, but gnome is no option for me. Thanks in advance!

it might be a little bit late reply, but i can type japanese in OOo.

at first, i couldn't either, but if you use skim instead of scim,
it should work.

skim -d -f
